Public Transport Options to the School
🚌 Local Bus Lines Several urban bus lines serve the Nikaia area and can bring you close to our school. Stops are typically located within walking distance of Praxitelous Street.
🚍 Main lines serving Neapoli-Nikaia: 🚇 Metro: The nearest station is Nikaia Station (Line 3), which is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the school. All bus lines mentioned below connect to Nikaia Metro Station (Line 3), as they have been modified to operate as feeder routes for the station.
The bus lines that drop you off very close to our school are:
- 800: Nikaia – Nikaia Station (Circular). This is the most direct connection, as its primary purpose is to serve the station and the surrounding neighborhoods.
- 846: Neapoli – Nikaia Station – Piraeus (Circular). It passes through the station and continues towards Neapoli, passing near the school.
- 824: Neapoli – Ag. Antonios – Nikaia Station – Piraeus A (Circular) & 825: Neapoli – Ag. Antonios – Nikaia Station – Piraeus B (Circular). Both lines (A and B) stop at the Nikaia Metro station and head towards the Neapoli area.
🚉 Railway / Suburban Rail The nearest “heavy rail” connection is the Suburban Railway/ Suburban Rail in Piraeus (Piraeus Station or “P3B”). From Piraeus Station, you can combine a short Metro trip (from “Piraeus” station to “Nikaia” station), a bus, or a taxi to reach the school.
🚇 Metro (Athens) The Athens Metro network (Lines M1/M3) can be used if you are coming from other parts of the Attica basin (e.g., central Athens). Get off at “Nikaia” station and then continue via local bus, taxi, or on foot (15-20 minutes) toward the school (91 Praxitelous St., Nikaia).
Practical Tips
- Tickets: Use the ATH.ENA card for buses, metro, and rail in Attica (single trips or day passes)—it is accepted on all buses and the metro.
- Route Planning: Tools such as OASA Telematics “Best Route” offer step-by-step directions with times and transfers based on current traffic (telematics.oasa.gr).
